Treatment and Recovery of Cyanide
The 2001 2nd Edition of the book Chemistry and Treatment of Cyanidation Wastes published by Mining Journal Books Ltd is now available in softcover and electronically. This book includes detailed theoretical, design and operational information about the commonly used cyanide treatment processes in the mining and metal finishing industries, plus dozens of references to other technical publications. Contact the Cyantists for ordering information.

Cyanide Recovery
Cyanide recovery from industrial solutions has been practiced worldwide for several decades. Click here to download a recent publication describing the cyanide recovery plant operating in Argentina, or contact the Cyantists for more information.

Hydrogen Peroxide Cyanide Destruction Process
Solvay Interox manufactures hydrogen peroxide and has several downloadable documents that describe hydrogen peroxide and its use in cyanide destruction processes. This is one of the oldest and most well known cyanide treatment processes. Cyplus Corporation (Degussa) also manufactures hydrogen peroxide and is experienced in assisting operations with implementing cyanide treatment systems.

Caro's Acid Cyanide Destruction Process
Caro's acid, or peroxymonosulphuric acid, is a very strong oxidant and a suitable candidate for treating relatively low levels of cyanide in slurry tailings. Download a publication by FMC Corporation for details about this process or click here for an FMC Corporation publication discussing the properties of Caro's Acid.

Thermal Hydrolysis Cyanide Destruction Process
Cyanide Destruct Systems, Inc. provides thermal hydrolysis systems for treatment of low-volume cyanide solutions, primarily in the plating industry. The process is effective at removing iron-cyanides to low levels.
